Mac requirements
What your Mac can make
Moonbox runs on any Mac with Apple silicon. The more memory your Mac has, the more it can make.
What every Mac needs
Apple silicon
Any Mac with an M1 chip or later. Macs with Intel processors aren't supported.
macOS 14 or later
macOS Sonoma, Sequoia or newer.
Disk space
The app is small; each tool is a separate download, from under 1 GB to about 40 GB. Moonbox shows the size before you download. More about downloads
Internet, now and then
To sign in, download tools and get updates. Everything you make is made offline.
Three sizes of Mac
Moonbox looks at your Mac's memory and rounds down: a Mac with 18 GB gets everything a 16 GB Mac gets. Tools that need more memory than your Mac has are shown, but can't be downloaded, because they wouldn't run well.

How much memory does my Mac have?
Open the Apple menu and choose About This Mac. The number next to Memory is what Moonbox uses. Memory can't be added to a Mac with Apple silicon later.
